Writing
| This year, all elementary grades will be using the program Being a Writer. The Being a Writer program aligns with the Common Core State Standards. The emphasis of this program is to foster the appreciation of the writing process and encourage students to develop the knowledge of the craft of writing. The Being a Writer program follows the writing workshop model. In grade 2, the required genres are: Opinion/Argument, Informative/Explanatory, and Narrative. Grammar skills are also embedded within the program. |
