Students in Grades 1-4 have started their first unit: "Vamos al Mar." We started by looking at the ocean in Westerly and then traveled to Peru!
Misquamicut:
To travel to Peru we used "La Carretera Panamericana" (The Pan-American Highway):
And then ended up in Máncora, Perú!
We learned: "El mar es importante en Westerly, Rhode Island y Máncora, Perú." To learn more, students can use Google Maps to explore other parts of Peru and/or other places in the world where "el mar es importante".
