Whole Body Listening
Today in Room 109 we have learned about Whole Body Listening.
Whole Body Listening is a holistic approach to listening that helps children understand that we can use the different parts of our bodies to be:
Respectful, Responsible and Safe.
- Eyes – looking at the speaker
- Ears – listening to what others are saying
- Lips – quiet and showing respect when others are speaking
- Hands – in our laps, in a safe and still manner
- Feet – safe and quiet feet, where legs are criss-cross when sitting on the rug
- Bodies- facing the speaker, staying calm
- Brains – thinking about what others are saying
- Hearts – caring about what others are saying
We are learning to: Use our whole bodies
So that we can: be a good listener
