Early Childhood Studies II Levels: Grades 9-12 Units of Credit: 0.5 Prerequisite: Early Childhood Studies I
COURSE DESCRIPTION The primary focus of this class is hands-on, on-site early child development experiences. This course prepares individuals for careers related to early childhood education. Students gain skills in applying knowledge of children’s growth and development to appropriate experiences in the creative arts, play, math, science, literacy, and language. Students plan, implement and evaluate experiences. They manage resources, supervise recreational and play activities and apply individual teaching skills, and gain awareness for a career and/or entrepreneurial opportunities.
