This week in math students will add fractions with unlike units using the strategy of creating equivalent fractions. The strategy we are using is to create a fraction model. We will be working with fractions between 0-1 (lesson 3) and fractions between 1-2 (lesson 4). At the end of the week, we will move toward subtracting fractions.
