The special education Resource program at Springbrook Elementary is for students in grades K-4 who have been identified by the Evaluation Team as having a disability which significantly impacts learning.
Each eligible student has an IEP (individualized education program) which includes the student's current levels of functioning and goals and objectives based on the Common Core Standards, as well as the student's individual needs as a learner.
Most students receive reading, writing, and/or math instruction or support. Some students receive specialized, small group instruction in the Resource room setting while others receive academic and/or behavioral support in their general education classroom.
This year I teach small group reading and math. I support students in the classroom in writing, Reading workshop, math, and behavioral goals.  Every year is different, depending on the needs of the students on my caseload.
