  • Course Description:

    Class Description College Math: This course is a 4th year math course that is designed to prepare the student for college level math concepts found in entry level math courses for the liberal arts student.  This course will review some topics form prior courses and will give an overview of new topics, all of which include functions and modes, transformations of graphs and data, circular functions, trigonometric functions, logs, sequence and series, conic sand more.  There will be a focus on modeling these concepts through applications using optimization problems.  The use of the definite integral to find area and volume is also explored.  Scope of Class: Sets, linear equations and inequalities one variable, linear equations and inequalities two and three variables, polynomials in one or more variables, quadratic equations, algebraic fractions, exponents and radicals, relations and functions,…
