Welcome to Social Studies! In this course, we will study many topics that have had a direct influence on the lives we know today. It is my hope that as we study our past, you will better understand the events that unfold around you today and in the future. This year we will learn about many different topics that I know you will all find interesting. We will not only explore history, but also, geography, international relations, sociology, government and current events.
I am thrilled to join the team at Westerly Middle School! While this is my first year at WMS, it is my 6th year as an educator. For the past 5 years, I taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies at Monsignor Clarke School. I am excited to lead your child through an exploration of ancient civilizations and hope to have a positive impact on their development as a student.
