Make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and eats a healthy breakfast
Many teachers report that students who don't do well on tests haven't gotten enough sleep, and haven't eaten breakfast on the morning of the test. Doing both of these things will ensure that your child is working at full capacity.
Staying calm will help your child stay calm. If he/she gets nervous about the test or is likely to experience anxiety during the test, help her practice some relaxation techniques that he/she can try once she's taking the test
On Time- Please have your child to school on time as your child will not be allowed to enter the classroom once testing has begun.
Ms. Martin will plan for an extra outdoor activity and snack during testing days.
The Mission of Springbrook School is to provide a safe learning environment, fostering and encouraging each child to become a productive citizen, taking responsibility for self, others, and supporting community.
VISITOR SIGN IN Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! In an effort to maintain your child's safety, Westerly Public Schools implemented the RAPTOR Visitor Management System. Upon entering the building, visitors will check in with the main office where you will be asked to provide a photo ID (driver's license, state issued ID, or passport) that will be scanned into the system to be checked against sex offender databases from all 50 states. Raptor will then print a visitor badge with a photo, location of visit, and the date/time. We are able to keep track of who is in the building at all times. Prior to exiting the building, you will be required to return your badge to the main office and we will sign you out. You will only have to provide your photo ID one time to scan. On any subsequent visits, we will be able to pull your information using only your name and then a badge can be printed. Thank you for your cooperation!
Our students are offered fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday and Thursday. Locally grown produce is used when in season. We encourage all children to taste test their fruit and vegetable cup. This experience creates an excellent opportunity for a dinnertime conversation starter. Please ask your child to share his or her experience and facts they have learned about fruits and vegetables.

Students are dismissed to the bus room, walker door, or the parent pick-up door. If you routinely pick up your child, please us the parent pick-up…
