Reading Intervention
Instructor: Joell Aristi
As the Reading Specialist, at Dunn's Corners School, I provide specialized reading instruction, serve as a member of the Reading Intervention Team, and work with teachers and parents to ensure that all students are successful in the area of reading.
A student is identified for reading services based on District Reading Assessments, a teachers' referral information, and a collaborative data-based decision by the Reading Intervention Team.
A Personal Literacy Plan is, then, developed. This plan designates the intervention and tracks progress throughout the school year.
