    Welcome!!!! Are you ready for intensity? Hard work? Thinking? This year we will explore the driving question:What inspires us as humans to understand in new ways  & shift our perspectives? How can these movements create shifts beyond ourselves?
    This year we will look at how authors, characters, artists, innovators, politicians, and everyday people move to create shifts beyond themselves. Last year you developed your writing skills and widened your knowledge base of literary elements. This year is an extension of those skills and more. We will be doing this through a Writer’s-Reader’s Workshop model--something you’ll grow to love!
     
    My expectations are EXTREMELY HIGH for each and every one of you—I do not accept a paradox of high capability and low performance. You are all able and therefore expected to work to your highest potential. It can’t just be me and Westerly High School that has these expectations—you have expect the best out of yourself
