    The purpose of this course is to guide students in developing their organizational, study and transitional skills so that they can meet the goals and objectives set forth and achieve the successful completion of all WHS graduation requirements.  By honing and strengthening these skills, students will develop a strong sense of accountability for their own learning, independence, self advocacy and self confidence as well as stamina and resilience.  This course also supports students in developing their capacity to persevere despite obstacles and realize their own unique potential.  These qualities or habits of mind will prove invaluable in making that transition to post secondary life in the areas of education, employment and independent living. In the process students would have maximized the benefits of the Westerly culture of personalized, student centered learning.

    Listening to movements from the Eroica and the first movement of the
    Moonlight Sonata, what kinds of images and/or feelings or even
    moods come to mind?  Although one is a symphony and the
    other a piano sonata, how would you compare the mood?
